“Magnolia RV Park & Campground” in Joanna, South Carolina – was rated: 8
This former KOA campground has larger sites than you would normally associate with KOA campgrounds which was really nice. The garden with water feature was right outside our door and the sound of water was lovely. There is a need for fresh gravel on the sites but we had no rain so it wasn’t a problem. Although the interstate was not visible, there was a fair amount of road noise but the easy on/off was very convenient. The new owners are enthusiastic and delightful and create a warm, hospitable environment. This is a great location for travel between the Smokies and the shore. We will return.
“Orange Grove RV Park” in Bakersfield, California – was rated: 9
We have stayed here many times and the place just gets better. The staff is great, everything is clean, the location if convenient and in season the oranges are wonderful. Add free coffee and doughnuts and what more could you ask for.
“Treasure Lake Resort” in Branson, Missouri – was rated: 4
This place is a joke. Upon arrival it looked great. We entered the check-in area, checked in and were told to go to Phase 4 and find a place. Some of these sites are 30 feet long, some are 50 feet long. Some are pull-thrus, some are back-ins. Who ever heard of going to a campground and not having your site assigned. It took us 65 minutes to find a suitable site for us. And the hookups….another joke. The water and electric is on one side of the site and the sewer is on the other. Who planned this out? The sites are tight, the roads are steep and narrow making it difficult to back in to. There are 542 sites with only 2 laundry facilities. Once again, who planned this out? We will never stay here again.
“Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground” in Virgin, Utah – was rated: 10
We stayed at this campground for a week. It is very close to Zion National Park. The campground is very clean, well appointed with trees and grass, quiet and upscale. We particularly liked the pool and hot tub.The drive from Virgin to the National Park takes about 15 minutes. Parking in Springdale is easy, the shuttle system in Springdale and Zion National Park is easy and convienent. We would stay here again.
“Pony Express Motel and RV Park” in West Yellowstone, Montana – was rated: 6
Hey folks, there is a reason this place is almost $20 cheaper than all the other area parks. It met our needs (FHU, cable, and WIFI) perfectly for one night before heading west. As noted, it is small, unappealing, and larger RVs and/or those with toads probably should not even attempt to stay here.
“Indian Cove Resort” in Virginia Beach, Virginia – was rated: 8
I stayed here for a week. I was right on the canal to the Back Bay park area. It was great for kayaking. I could wash my RV here. The sites are large and the people in the office were very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.
“Three Forks KOA” in Three Forks, Montana – was rated: 10
This KOA is top-notch. The whole campground is like a highly manicured and well-groomed park. The owners were pleasant and helpful and everything worked as advertised. We would definitely stay here again.
